Co-injection is a great process to utilize secondary waste. But consider a process that uses an entirely different substance to represent the core . . . water or gas. During the molding cycle the core plastic material is displaced by water or gas, creating hollow parts. This new product uses even less plastic, creates a lighter weight alternative and requires less cooling time during the manufacturing cycle.
