The first rule of recycling is to separate

We realize this simple household rule can be meaningful in our manufacturing process, too. First, we separate the colors. By investing in a color separation unit, mixed color materials that would otherwise been destined for landfills can be separated and reused.

When a part is produced by co-extrusion or co-molding processes two or more materials are chemically bonded. Normally, these materials could be used only for core materials. Now, with the color separation system, as well as a new proprietary process that uses an electrical charge to separate core from skin materials, we’ve increased the opportunities to reuse these waste products.
