Co-injection is the process of introducing two compatible materials into a single injection mold where the core material is completely encapsulated. The process produces a three-layer molded part with only the desired appearance of skin material on the outside.

The process offers distinct advantages:

• Secondary materials are recycled to reduce costs and diverts waste strem materials into new, usable products
• Secondary materials can actually impart beneficial properties, like product strength to enhance product performance
