• In our choice of raw materials use quality materials from environmentally responsible sources and continue our commitment to use our reprocessed material, waste and recycled materials where economically feasible:
  • Use postindustrial wood waste in toilet seats and other compression molded products to maximize the use of the whole tree.
  • Co-injection mold plastic. Co-injection allows us to use reprocessed plastics and other materials that would otherwise be land filled.
  • Work to minimize the use of heavy metals in our plastics and finishes.
• Reduce volatile organic compounds in our finishing process by minimizing solvent-based finishes and incorporating water-based finishes, as the technology becomes available.
• In our procurement of products and components from other manufacturers, select sources that comply with local safety, health and environmental regulations.
• Continue to reduce waste, energy, resource consumption, and releases of emissions to the environment.
• Monitor our environmental progress through our Environmental Impact Committee and document projects and dates.
• Communicate our concern for the environment to our employees and gain their understanding and foster support.
