Contest Rules and Regulations

The Official Rules and Regulations of the Busy Mom contest are as follows:

  1. No purchase necessary: Purchasing will not increase your chances of winning.

  2. How to enter: Contest starts on Mothers Day, May 1, 2007, 12:00 am (CDT) and ends July 31, 2007, 11:59 pm (CDT). Entry to contest is exclusively online at www.BusyMomContest.com. Entries may be submitted by busy moms themselves, or by anyone wishing to nominate a busy mom. Each entry form must be completed entirely, including a 250 – 350 word essay detailing why the entrant believes that they or the one being nominated deserves consideration for this illustrious title and rewards. Entries must be truthful and a factual account of the Busy Mom's current day-to-day life. Online entries must be submitted by July 31, 2007, 11:59 pm (CDT). Entries become the sole property of Bemis Manufacturing Company, the Sponsor, and will not be returned. One entry per nominator per nominee. Void where prohibited by law.

  3. How to win: The Sponsor will select 20 valid “finalist” entries, based upon essay content that best relates the most compelling stories. Within six weeks of the contest end date, a panel of independent judges will review finalist entries and select one grand-prize winner of the Busy Mom contest. The other remaining finalist entries will be classified as runners-up. Additionally, if someone other than herself nominated the winner, there will be a cash prize for the nominator. All decisions will be final and may not be appealed. The grand-prize winner, nominator of the grand-prize winner and the runners-up will be notified in writing within 10 days of the drawing. The winner, runners-up and nominator will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and truthfulness and sign a release of liability, both of which must be returned within 10 days of notification. The prizes will be then be awarded. Odds of winning depend on the total number of entries received.

  4. Prizes: The grand-prize winner will receive the following prizes, or the maximum cash equivalents ($US) at the discretion of the sponsor: i) Housecleaning service twice per month for one year ($2,400), ii) Handyman service two full days for one year ($1,000), iii) Personal chef for family dinners twice per month for one year ($4,800), iv) Massage Therapist/Spa Treatment twice per month for one year ($1,200), v) Mom's Night Out Babysitter allowance twice per month for one year ($2,400), vi) Easy•Clean toilet seats for the entire home ($100). Approximate total prize value of $11,900. The runners-up will each receive three Bemis Easy•Clean™ toilet seats ($100). If applicable the nominator of the winning grand-prize entry will receive a cash award of $1,000.

  5. General Rules: Open only to legal residents of the United States, the District of Columbia and Canada (excluding Quebec), who are 18 years of age at time of entry. Employees of Bemis Manufacturing Company, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate family members and/or those living in same household of each are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law. At the discretion of the Sponsor, cash equivalents, may be offered in lieu of prizes. Substitution or transfer of prizes is not permitted by the winner, finalists and nominator. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. All federal, state/provincial and local taxes are sole responsibility of winner. All federal, state/provincial and local laws and regulations apply. No correspondence regarding the contest will be acknowledged or entered into. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, Sponsor will deem the authorized email address account holder as the entrant. Winners', finalists and nominators must sign a statement declaring eligibility and releasing liability within 10 days after receipt of first notification attempt. If any finalists are unreachable, the prize will be deemed forfeited and an alternate finalist selected. By entering contest and/or accepting prize, entrant grants permission to Sponsor and its agencies to use winners', finalists and nominators names and/or likeness, for purposes of advertising/trade, without further compensation to entrant, unless prohibited by law. By accepting prize, winners, finalists and nominators agrees to hold Sponsor, their respective directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of this contest and use of the prizes. Winners', finalists and nominators assumes all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this promotion or use/redemption of any prize. Sponsors are not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the contest or in the announcement of the prizes. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, mutilated or illegible entries nor for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind, or inaccurate transmissions of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor or presenter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. If for any reason the Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this contest, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest. Caution: Any attempt by a contestant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the game is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such contestant to the fullest extent of the law. Entries containing materials submitted to other contest(s) or previously published or subject to proprietary rights of third party(s) will be disqualified. Entries must be truthful and a factual account of the Busy Mom's day-to-day life.

  6. For names of winners: will be posted online at www.BusyMomContest.com on or about September 15, 2007.
